Ingredients for 1 x 750gm loaf
1½ teaspoons yeast
500gm of any Wheylite Bread Mix
Water: Mix together with 130ml warm water and 200ml tap water

Method:
  1. Blend together the bread flour and yeast in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the warm water a little at a time and mix with a mixing spoon until all the dry ingredients are absorbed into the dough (dough should look shaggy). You may not need all the water to achieve this.
  3. Use your flour sifter/shaker to sprinkle flour onto a flat surface and tip the dough onto it. Knead the dough using the palms of your hands for 10 minutes (or until no lumps are left in the dough). You may need to add more flour to the dough until it becomes smooth. (Dough should not stick to your hands or the bench).
  4. Use your bowl scraper to remove any dry dough from the bowl. Put a drop of food oil in the bowl and roll the dough until covered with oil. Cover the bowl with plastic or a damp cloth. Place the bowl into a warm position until the dough doubles in size (approx 45 to 60 minutes). Do not let the dough get too hot.
  5. Place the dough onto a little floured board and knead lightly until dough returns to original size.
  6. Shape the dough to fit your bread tin. Spray the top of the dough lightly with water. Optionally, sprinkle seeds of your choice on top.
  7. Cover with damp cloth or plastic and place the tin in a warm (not hot) position until the dough rises to approximately double its original size, rising above the lip of the bread tin. This takes 45 to 60 mins, though perhaps longer on a cool day.
  8. Bake in a hot oven (200 - 220°C), for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 180 - 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes. For a crusty loaf, spray with water before putting the tin in the pre-heated oven.
  9. Your loaf should be golden brown and sound hollow when tapped. Let the bread stand for about 15 minutes before cutting.
